How to shoot good photos
|
|
Please follow these rules and hints when photographing for us and your photos will become perfect. Remember, the better
your pictures, the more we can buy :-)
|
|
Obligatory rules:
- Minimum size 2048x1536 pixels
-
It's important to provide the photos as big as possible, this gives us enough room to optimize the photos. So please use a resolution
of at least 2048x1536 pixels. Don't hesitate to send even bigger pictures if your camera can shoot them; the bigger the better.
If you have only a 2 Megapixel camera you may of course use the 1600x1200 pixel resolution.
- Lowest JPG-compression ( = highest image quality)
-
On most cameras you can select the level of JPG-compression for storing the photos on the memory card. The lower the compression the
better the image quality. So please set the camera to the lowest JPG-compression (i.e. to the highest image quality). This setting is
often called Superfine or SHQ or similar.
Generally, a 2048x1536 pixel photo in highest-quality will be around 1.6 MBytes (or 1600 KBytes) in file size.
A 1600x1200 pixel photo will be around 900 KBytes. If the file size of your photos is much lower then you haven't used the highest
quality setting.
- Do not process the photos yourself in a graphic program
-
If you process the photos yourself there will be a double jpg conversion which dramatically affects the quality, so please send the pictures directly as they come out of your digital camera. It doesn't matter if a photo is a bit too dark, because we'll adjust brightness, contrast (and more) with our graphic software anyway.
- Shoot all photos in horizontal format
-
Please shoot only horizontal photos, i.e. do not turn the camera 90 degrees to shoot vertical photos, even if there's a lot of free space on the left and right side of the model. People have to scroll up and down when viewing vertical pictures on their computer monitors, that's not very convenient.
- Do not use the zoom
-
Please shoot all photos in the wide angle position of the lens (i.e. for the experienced photographers: 28mm - 50mm lens equivalent to 35mm film).
Instead of zooming in, go closer with the camera itself; this gives a better and more intimate perspective. And never use the digital zoom.
- Do not use glitter
-
Never use any glitter in the makeup or on the body of the girl.

Recommended rules:
- Bright light. Daylight is the best
-
The quality of the photo depends on the surrounding light. More light will result in better quality photos.
Whenever possible please shoot the photos outdoors in bright daylight, this gives the best results.
And besides, it's very nice to look at naked breasts presented outdoors, our members do love such photos :-)
- When photographing indoors
-
Try to get as much daylight into the room as possible and additionally use the flash. Do not photograph in a dark room.
Let the daylight flow through the room (i.e. open the heavy curtains, open the jalousies).
Set the FLASH MODE to "Fire Always" or "Forced Flash".
This way you're mixing daylight and flashlight, i.e. the room is basically lightened by the daylight and the flash must only
help illuminating the model correctly. This mix gives good results. Never use normal light bulbs for lighting the scene.
Use only a mixture of daylight and flashlight.
Attention: When there's a window with bright daylight the window should be behind the back of the photographer
(such that the camera doesn't see the window). If the window is on the back of the photographer the daylight helps
illuminate the scene, that's good. But if the camera actually sees the bright window it will totally disturb the
exposure metering process of the camera.
- Keep the sensitivity at ISO 100
-
If your camera allows to set the ISO value manually, please keep it at ISO 100. With higher ISO values (200 to 400) you can photograph under lower light conditions, but that's a bad idea because a higher ISO value will dramatically increase the pixel noise (like the grain in the old films). So ISO values above 100 will provide a very bad photo quality.

Other useful hints:
- Much variety
-
It's great if there's much variety in the pictures; the more variety, the more pictures we
can buy. Some ideas:
- Let the model wear various clothes, e.g. various tops (blouse, shirt, tank-top, tight sweater, jacket ...)
and various skirts, jeans, miniskirts, and other sexy outfits. Generally, tight clothings look very sexy.
- Take pictures at various places (e.g. indoors, outdoors, in the car, on a park bench, on the beach, whatever...)
- Take pictures from various viewing angles, i.e. don't just stand in front of the model shooting hundreds of pictures
from the same viewing point. Try to "roam about" her with the camera, "explore" her body with your camera.
E.g. go down, shoot upskirt, place the camera near her legs, view downblouse, go close to her nipples, go close to her ass, whatever...
- Do not take pictures of just her boobs, please photograph also her whole body including her ass and her legs, or even her pussy (if she likes).
It's also a good idea to start fully clothed, then let her unveil her breasts (and more).
You see, there are a lot of possibilities :-)
- Do not use red backgrounds
-
Avoid red backgrounds, such as red blankets on the couch or on the bed. Instead use a normal white or grey sheet. The JPG compression has problems with the colour red (red colours look blocky).
- Do not use backgrounds with many tiny details or small patterns
-
Whenever you can choose the background (such as a curtain or a blanket) please avoid backgrounds with detailed patterns. The JPG compression has problems with very detailed backgrounds. So for instance, do not use a blanket with a tiger pattern but use a normal white sheet. Or do not use a curtain with a chequered pattern but use a grey or white wall.
- Pay attention to the auto-focus
-
Most cameras have a two-stage shutter-release button, which means
1) First press the shutter-release button halfway to focus. Now wait until the camera has focused (often indicated by a green light).
2) When the camera has focused press the shutter-release button all the way down to shoot a photo.
Hold the camera steady during this whole process and make sure that the model doesn't move. Any slight movement may produce blurred and unsharp photos.
- Pay attention to the exposure time
-
Do not use exposure times longer than 1/30s. When shooting photos with 1/30s you must hold the camera (and the model) very very steady. Any slight movement may produce blurred and unsharp photos. Exposure times of 1/20s or 1/15s will never produce sharp photos, these photos will always be of bad quality. For best results the exposure time should be 1/125s or shorter (e.g. 1/250s).
